Accepting New Clients: Virtual and In-Person

Most of the people I work with have been harmed by people they believed they could trust. After trauma, many people have a hard time standing up for themselves and setting healthy boundaries in relationships. I specialize in working with people who feel stuck in shame, struggle to feel safe in their bodies or relationships, and carry the lasting impact of sexual trauma and abuse in relationships.

Even years after a sexual assault or abuse in relationships, your body may still react to what you experienced. This can show up in feeling jumpy when someone surprises you, being uncomfortable with physical touch, or holding tension in your body during intimacy. It’s important for you to know that there isn’t anything wrong with you; your body is still reacting this way because it wants to protect you. Logically you may know you're safe, but your body could still be trying to assess for danger to try to prevent it from happening again.

In therapy, we address the trauma that is stored in your memories and in your body. Through safely reconnecting with parts of your body, you will be able to explore and release the feelings you may be unintentionally holding on to. We incorporate somatic grounding practices and cognitive restructuring so your body and mind can feel like they are on the same page. Often times people feel frozen in their bodies which is what stops them from speaking up for themselves or setting boundaries. By working through this response and learning ways to stand up for yourself, you can have healthier relationships. Your past experiences don’t have to feel as if they are in control of you. You deserve to reclaim your power in your mind and body.

My Therapy Approach

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling exhausted from not being able to move forward in their lives. They often tell me they are tired of feeling stuck in the same patterns, relationships, or trauma responses. Most people have told me they don’t want a therapist that just sits in their chair nodding. I am active in our sessions together and want you to grow. Therapy should feel validating while also encouraging growth. I am an active therapist in session, meaning I will help you identify patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to yourself.

  • Empowering - Trauma can leave people feeling disconnected from themselves, their voice, and their confidence. I want therapy to help you rebuild trust in yourself, strengthen your boundaries, and feel more confident navigating relationships. Healing is not about becoming a different person. It is about reconnecting with the version of yourself that trauma may have silenced.

  • Compassionate - Many trauma survivors spend years minimizing their experiences, questioning themselves, or feeling like they have to carry everything alone. Therapy should be a space where you feel emotionally safe and supported without judgment. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, validated, and able to show up authentically.

  • Goal Oriented - Therapy is not just about talking through what happened, it is also about helping you move forward. At the end of sessions, we often identify goals or skills to focus on throughout the week so you can actively apply what we discuss in therapy to your everyday life. We then check in together about what is working, what feels difficult, and what support you need moving forward.

  • Consistent & Direct - When clients begin therapy with me, they are given a consistent day and time each week that is reserved specifically for them, which allows therapy to become a reliable space that is fully theirs. While schedules can be adjusted when needed. For many trauma survivors, predictability and routine create a sense of emotional safety and stability. I value clear, honest, and transparent communication in therapy. I will always communicate openly with you about patterns I notice, clinical recommendations, and treatment goals. My approach is supportive while also helping clients stay accountable to the growth they want to achieve.

What I love most about being a therapist is watching people come back to themselves. I want people to feel proud of the life they are creating, to take up space unapologetically, and to begin speaking their truth after years of silence. You deserve to feel safe in your own life again.

I believe you. I see you.

And together, we are healing loudly.

My Experience & Advanced Trainings

My passion for working with trauma survivors began long before becoming a therapist. At 15 years old, I began volunteering at a local rape crisis center, where I witnessed the importance of providing survivors with advocacy and support during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

That passion continued into my professional career, where I worked at the rape crisis center for six years supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence before opening my practice. Those experiences shaped the foundation of the therapist I am today and deepened my commitment to helping survivors reclaim their lives.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy designed to help the brain process distressing experiences that continue to feel “stuck.” EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to traumatic memories while helping clients feel safer, more grounded, and more connected to themselves in the present.
