Accepting New Clients: Virtual and In-Person

Relationships can become difficult when couples and families find themselves caught in the same patterns of conflict, miscommunication, or disconnection. You may deeply care about the people in your life while still feeling lonely, frustrated, misunderstood, or emotionally exhausted. When the people you turn to for comfort and support begin to feel distant, it can leave you feeling as though you are carrying things on your own. That emotional exhaustion can make everyday tasks feel heavier, leaving you with less energy to work, care for your family, enjoy the things you once loved, or simply get through the day. You may find yourself struggling to communicate your needs, understand your loved ones, or break patterns that continue to create hurt and distance. Whether you are coming to therapy on your own, with a partner, or with your family, you may know that you want things to feel different but aren't sure how to get there. Wherever you are starting from, you don't have to figure it out alone.

I believe therapy should be a place where you can slow down, feel safe enough to be vulnerable, and know that you will be genuinely heard and supported. Together, we can explore the patterns within your relationships and the experiences that have shaped the way you respond to yourself and others. I take a systemic approach, recognizing that our experiences are influenced by the relationships and environments around us, and that meaningful change in one part of a system can create change throughout the whole.

My goal is to help you move from feeling stuck toward feeling more connected, understood, and empowered. As we develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships, we can begin healing from past hurts and trauma and explore the ways those experiences may still be shaping your life today. I strive to help you recognize the strengths you already carry, build resilience, and feel more confident in your ability to navigate difficult moments and make meaningful changes. Whether we are working together individually, as a couple, or as a family, my hope is that you leave therapy feeling better equipped to navigate life with greater self-understanding, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of empowerment.

My Therapy Approach

I draw from approaches such as the Gottman Method and Internal Family Systems (IFS), including the idea that different parts of ourselves can show up when we feel hurt, overwhelmed, afraid, or disconnected. Rather than judging these parts or wishing they would simply go away, we can slow down and become curious about what they may be trying to communicate or protect. I believe that approaching ourselves and one another with compassion and curiosity creates space for greater understanding, healing, and connection.

  • Collaborative - Therapy should not feel like you are sitting alone trying to figure everything out while someone simply nods along. I believe meaningful change happens when we work together. Whether you are coming to therapy individually, as a couple, or as a family, I want you to feel heard, supported, and actively involved in the goals we are working toward.

  • Nonjudgemental - When we feel hurt, overwhelmed, afraid, or disconnected, different parts of us can show up in ways we may not always understand. Rather than judging those responses or wishing they would simply go away, I believe we can become curious about them. Together, we can explore what those parts may be trying to communicate or protect and develop a greater sense of understanding and compassion for yourself and others.

  • Relationship Focused - Our relationships and environments shape so much of how we experience the world. I take a systemic approach to therapy, meaning we look beyond one individual and explore the patterns, relationships, and experiences that may be contributing to what is happening. Instead of focusing on blame, we can work toward understanding the cycle and creating healthier ways of communicating, connecting, and responding to one another.

  • Growth Oriented - Therapy is a space to better understand yourself, but understanding is only one part of creating change. I want to help you take what you are learning about yourself and your relationships and apply it to your life outside of therapy. Together, we can work toward building healthier communication, strengthening your relationships, healing from past hurts, and feeling more confident navigating difficult moments.

I see therapy as a team effort: you are the expert on your life, your experiences, and your relationships, while I bring expertise in the therapeutic process and help guide us toward the goals that matter most to you. Relationships can feel different. You can better understand yourself, communicate what you need, and create deeper connections with the people who matter to you. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more connected, understood, and empowered in your ability to create meaningful change in your life and relationships.

And together, we are healing loudly.

My Experience & Advanced Trainings

My passion for working with trauma survivors began long before becoming a therapist. At 15 years old, I began volunteering at a local rape crisis center, where I witnessed the importance of providing survivors with advocacy and support during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

That passion continued into my professional career, where I worked at the rape crisis center for six years supporting survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence before opening my practice. Those experiences shaped the foundation of the therapist I am today and deepened my commitment to helping survivors reclaim their lives.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based trauma therapy designed to help the brain process distressing experiences that continue to feel “stuck.” EMDR can help reduce the emotional intensity connected to traumatic memories while helping clients feel safer, more grounded, and more connected to themselves in the present.
