The Truth is, You Were Doing the Best You Could with What You Knew at the Time

Dear Survivor,

It was never your fault. You were simply reaching for something every human deserves: love, safety, and connection. You believed in what you were given because your heart was open, and there is nothing wrong with that. If anything, it speaks to your capacity to trust and to hope. I know how easy it is to question or blame yourself, but the truth is, you were doing the best you could with what you knew at the time. You will grow and heal. Your story doesn’t end here. It will only continue in the lives you’ll touch, the hope you’ll offer, and the reminder you will give others that healing is possible.
