Turning My Experiences Into Purpose

Dear Survivor,

I am a survivor, because my story did not end with what happened to me. At 14, my trust was shattered by someone I called a friend; as an adult, I wasn’t taught that saying “no”, especially within the context of marriage, was something I could do.

Finding my voice through healing changed all of that. I chose to turn my experiences into purpose. I built a medical practice rooted in truly listening to women; a space that respects the complexity and nuance of women’s health and lived experiences; where safety, consent and even pleasure are a part of the conversation. I built a place where exams are done with care, and compassion and control are returned to the patient; where everyone is seen, believed and never dismissed. I show up - for myself, for my patients, for my children - as proof that strength can grow from broken trust.

Healing is possible, and your voice matters.
